Trout Unlimited (TU) is North America's leading coldwater fisheries conservation organization, dedicated to the conservation, protection and restoration of trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds. The organization has more than 140,000 members in 400 chapters across the United States, including 10,000 members in California.

Trout Unlimited is seeking a qualified individual to help TU expand its successful North Coast Coho Project (NCCP) restoration initiative in northern California. The individual will work with the NCCP Manager to manage the portfolio of restoration projects comprising the NCCP, which includes placement of large woody material structures, removal of fish passage barriers, road decommissioning, water supply improvements, and other habitat restoration. Additional tasks include ensuring strategic growth of the NCCP, which presents an incredible opportunity for a candidate with vision and energy.

A post-doctoral position is available at the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program to study the hearing abilities of and effects of sound on marine animals. APPLICATION TO THIS POSITION IS ONLY OPEN TO U.S. CITIZENS. Projects include developing acoustic impact criteria and safe exposureguidelines for marine animals, conducting behavioral andelectrophysiological studies of hearing, investigating behavioral responsesof marine mammals to sound, and determining the physiological effects ofnoise on the marine mammal auditory system (e.g., temporary thresholdshifts). The applicant should possess a Ph.D. in acoustics, engineering, physics, experimental psychology (specializing in psycho-acoustics), or biology with a strong background in mathematics.
