Peter is a management consultant with a special interest in food, farming and sustainable development.

Peter is an experienced Management Consultant, Mentor and Facilitator with an MBA from Wharton (University of Pennsylvania). He worked for McKinsey in London in the 1970's, before leaving for a career in organic farming and food production. With his wife Suzanne, he established one of the first organic dairy farms in Devon. In 1987, they founded Rocombe Farm Fresh Ice Cream, the UK's first organic ice cream company. They grew the business until 2000, when it was sold to Yeo Valley. Peter was one of the pioneers in the country's organic food movement and an active member of Soil Association since the early 1970's.

Peter set up the Barefoot Partnership in 2007 with Tim Currant. The company's clients are primarily in the sectors of construction, food, education and social enterprise.

As a consultant, Peter has extensive experience in the areas of strategy, organization, business development and marketing. His clients have included large and small public and private organizations. He is also an experienced trainer and has run and contributed to a wide variety of management and leadership training.

For many years, Peter has been developing 'Barefoot Thinking' - a powerful approach to creative thinking. Practical and effective, it helps people improve their problem solving, communication skills and collaborative working skills.

Peter is committed to supporting Social Enterprise. He is a Director of Teignbridge Rural Regeneration Project, Transition Town Totnes Ltd and the Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust.
